Be You But Do God
In primary school, you are who you are, because that’s who everyone WANTS YOU TO be and EXPECT YOU TO BEHAVE.
High school is the perfect platform where you AND ONLY YOU get to decide who you are, who you want to be and where you fit in .
I haven’t completely found myself, but if you did, HOLD ON TO THAT PERSON!:) That’s who you are and want to be and if people don’t like it or don’t approve, simply tell them: "SHAME!!!! Jammer om van jo probleem te hoor."
But if you ever start doubting yourself and wonder if that “new person” is who you want to be, ask yourself : “Who does God want me to be?”. /:)

Jesus > Religion
FIRST OF ALL, I don’t get the point in being “religious”. There’s nothing you can do that will make you less of a sinner, but every thing you can do that will make you more of a Pharisee. Remember it’s only by grace that we’re saved, not by our good deeds.
However, the Scripture clearly says that we should abstain from sinning. This means that you should sin as less as possible, (by such actually hating your own sin) so that you won’t became reckless in your sinful nature. In other words don’t take the punishment of sin for granted, nor the law against it as faith upholds the law, it does not remove it. If you cheapen sin - you cheapen God, the sacrifice for sin was so great that we should live in a manner which is repentant, avoiding sin and not turning a blind eye to it or promoting it. In understanding the degree of which our sin is condemnable we thus understand the degree of which Christ ransomed us thereof. Therefore Christ is glorified in our obedience and appreciated in our consciousness towards sin.
In conclusion, there’s nothing to be religious about, it’s simply understanding the Cross, the debt that was paid to have you freed from captivity. Jesus is greater than religion and will always be, live by faith in Christ and ou shall abide to (and justified by) his righteousness and not your own.
Pillars of Christianity: Five Solas & Five Things To Take Note Of
According to Martin Luther [not King] the 5 Solae/Solas (Onlys) of the Church (that’s actually us the Body of Christ) and basically 5 pillars of Christianity is:
- Only Scripture (Sola Scriptura),
- Only Christ (Solus Christus),
- Only Grace (Sola Gratia),
- Only Faith (Sola Fide)
- and Only/To God’s Glory Alone (Soli Deo Gloria).
Money was clearly not included!
Point 1: Check yo’ pastor before you check your wallet.
Point 2: We only saved by grace and depend on God’s grace, nothing we do can deem us righteous or justify us.
Point 3. The word of God is the power of salvation, the Gospel is all we need, a teaching elsewhere can be phoney.
Point 4. Faith is all Jesus was really asking for. He gave us his all and implied that even if one’s faith is as small as a mustard seed, it has great potential.
Point 5. Don’t forget God! If it wasn’t for God there wouldn’t be anything at all, so may everything be onto Him, to His Name and to His Glory.
You Picked Her, So Love Her & Stick To Her!
What to do with your current girlfriend?
If you made a choice to pick what you would call an “ordinary girl” - then stick to that. Love her and stick to her despite what ever might get the better of you. Respect her efforts better yet praise them, encourage her to be her best cause she’s worth everything you saw in her and more.
If you choose to go with a “high maintenance girl” then don’t complain when you can’t handle her, stick to her, care… for her and care about her - stay faithful cause we both know she could do way better than you even if her heels are higher than your standards.
If you decided to go south with an “easy girl” - respect and appreciate her, cause she’s not a toy, show her as much better yet even more love than whoever it is you fantasize about, cause true is she actually done you a favour by giving you the best/most or all of who she truly is, her character glitters and brightens when she’s around you, her spirit is constantly comforted, beautified and uplifted - so don’t take that for granted, her worth is way more than when you first found her.
Maybe I Was Desperate
If you find her “slightly lookable” or you decided “mind over looks” then don’t think she ain’t got potential, she’s still beautiful the way she is, and deep down you know it.
Cherish her and allow her to gain and develop the best within her, to grow stronger in overcoming her insecurities. Not only are you a helping hand in her life, she is one in yours too - helping you appreciate a whole lot more, and caring for you the way she expects you to care for her.
She might not be fooled easily, and even if she is, work with it not against it by respecting it and staying faithful to her, she has the potential to be all you need just give her all of who you are.
